Course Description

The Certificate Course in Renewable Energy is specially designed for candidates from diverse backgrounds in science and non-science backgrounds. The program will equip students with practical skills and hands on experience, preparing them for careers in the industry and enabling them to develop and commercialize renewable energy product which will lead to self-employment opportunities while contributing to environmental sustainability.

Course Objectives

ENTRY REQUIREMNTS

This program is open to secondary school certificate holders from both science and non-science backgrounds, providing them with skills in renewable energy management. Upon completion, graduates from all backgrounds will be equipped to take on key roles in the industry, with non-science graduates particularly prepared for managerial and financial positions.

To be eligible for the program, candidates must possess Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) or equivalent with at least 3 credits and 2 passes, including:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics

Three additional credits/passes from the following subjects:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology/Agricultural Science
  • Economics/Commerce
  • Government
  • Accounting
  • Any other subjects in sciences/social sciences or subjects equivalent to the above.
